"I am most interested in the place where the real and the subliminal collide, where the unexpected feels famliar.
I am interested in the human passage, and everything I paint relates to that in some way.
I work mostly in oils on boards and canvases, and I make marks with a variety of tools--brushes, and rollers and scrapers. I work as spontaneously as possible within the form and stay open to what the painting has to say."
